NJSBA Board of Directors to Meet
|
In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, notice is hereby provided of a meeting of the NJSBA Board of Directors. The meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn in Jamesburg on November 21 at 7:30 p.m. This meeting is open to the public.
The agenda, to the extent known at this time, will include discussion and/or action on the minutes of the open and closed sessions of the October 10 meeting; presentation of Board Certification awards; revisions of Governance and Operations personnel policies; and a Workshop debriefing.
In addition, the Board of Directors will hear a presentation on School Board Governance Under the Massachusetts Model presented by Massachusetts Executive Director Glenn Koocher.

| Emergency Resolution |
At a meeting of the NJSBA Executive Committee on November 12, an emergency resolution addressing school district leadership and governance, originating from recommendations from the State Action for Education Leadership Project (SAELP), was approved for submission to the November Delegate Assembly.
In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, notice was previously published of the meeting date of the Emergency Resolutions Subcommittee in the event an emergency resolution was received. Pursuant to that notice, a meeting will be held on November 17 at 4 p.m. at the New Jersey School Boards Association headquarters on 413 West State Street in Trenton. The meeting will be conducted by telephone conference call and is open to the public. The subcommittee will consider whether the resolution meets the criteria to be admitted as an emergency resolution.
