Internet Meeting Notice Bill
Now Law

State Board Adopts Changes to Ethics Regulations
The state Board of Education last week adopted amendments to the regulations that expedite complaints against school officials under the code of ethics for school board members. In addition, the amendments place the burden of proving that a violation of the code of ethics has occurred on the person filing the complaint. The changes bring the regulations in line with changes made by the state Legislature to the School Ethics Act in July 2001. Get the full story.
State Board Ruling Supports NJSBA Position on Back Pay
The state Board of Education ruled last week in Kohn vs. Vineland City BOE that a district superintendent, wrongfully reduced in pay and in position, is not entitled to receive back pay from his former district while employed by a different district.
