Involvement on the board of trustees of a charter school requires not only commitment and dedication, but also a core base of knowledge about the board’s roles and responsibilities. Even before the school doors open, trustees must begin building a strong foundation to support the school through the early challenges.
This training, conducted by NJSBA Field Service professionals, will cover all major areas of charter school governance including: planning for the future; ethics; financial responsibilities; policies and procedures; evaluation; relationship development; and other areas key to operational management.
NJSBA staff has over ten years of experience working with New Jersey charter schools.
Members: $65 per person
Non-members: $130 per person
Registration fee includes a continental breakfast.
