Welcome to Workshop 2010
Register for Workshop 2010 Travel Waiver An exciting new location and a vast array of new training opportunities will greet your board at Workshop 2010, October 19 and 20 in Somerset. Since announcing the change of venue a few months ago, NJSBA has been hard at work creating a brand new event for you and your district. Our team has traveled across the state, asking our members about their Workshop experience: What do you like about Workshop? What can we do better? What would you like to learn at Workshop? Help us create the event that you want to be part of! Based on your input, we have constructed a new Workshop, but one which will include everything you have come to enjoy about the annual event. In addition, Workshop 2010 will offer new technology to simplify registration and to enable every attendee to create an individual schedule of training sessions and activities. These selections can be viewed on a mobile device, such as a Blackberry or iPhone, or downloaded and printed from a computer. Perhaps most important in this difficult economy is the reduced group registration fee. To keep Workshop attendance within reach of local school districts, we have cut the group registration fee in half, to $550. That fee will cover attendance by 11 board members, administrators and other staff from the same district. And by applying part of NJSBA’s $2,000 per-district service credit for toward Workshop registration, your district can participate in the 2010 event for free. The Workshop 2010 location in Somerset was chosen because of its easy access for the majority of participants. More than 65 percent of our districts are within 50 miles of the location, enabling more people to participate without having the added expense of hotel accommodations. Participants from districts more than 50 miles away can stay over in any of the more than 1,000 rooms we have blocked for the event at the lowest possible rates. We hope that you will join us on either October 19th or 20th (or both days). Workshop 2010 will provide you with outstanding learning opportunities as well as the ability to share and learn with NJSBA members from across New Jersey. |
