Workshop 2009 Workshop, the major training conference for school officials, attracts board members, administrators, school business officials, district staff and educators to approximately 180 training opportunities. Highlights of the annual three-day event include general sessions with nationally prominent speakers; large group lecture sessions; small group hands-on Action Labs; curriculum exchanges; and over 500 commercial and non-profit organizations contributing to an exhibition of the latest educational products, services and technologies. NJSBA needs volunteers to serve as aides at Workshop 2009, the annual conference for education leaders to be held Oct. 28-30 in Atlantic City. In addition to providing a valuable service, you will be recognized in the Workshop Program Book. Aides Aides make sure everything runs smoothly, greet people, distribute and collect handouts and evaluation forms. Public Relations Mini-Workshop Program Proposals NJSBA is planning communications activities for Annual Workshop 2009 which will take place October 28-30 in Atlantic City. We invite you to submit a program proposal for the School Public Relations Mini-Workshops, scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, from 10 – 11 a.m. These 30-minute roundtable presentations are presented two times within an hour-long timeslot. Participants have benefited greatly from presentations on numerous public relations topics, including media relations, involving parents and senior citizens in your schools, crisis communications, passing bond proposals and budgets, and community engagement. We encourage you to submit a proposal on any communications or public relations topics you believe would be useful to Workshop registrants. Download the program proposal form.
