The Opening General Session also features the presentation of this year’s Board Member of the Year; Superintendent of the Year; School Business Administrator of the Year; and Teacher of the Year.

Making Connections to Student Achievement

Diversity. Violence. Social and economic conditions. They’re seemingly unrelated issues that have a direct impact on how well students perform. Dr. Noguera will share his findings on each of these issues, discuss the ways they impact student achievement and reveal ways that schools can improve.
