Apply NowThe Westfield School District in collaboration with its staff and community is searching for an experienced, visionary and innovative educator to serve as its next leader. The Westfield School District educates approximately 6,300 students Pre-K – grade 12 in 10 schools. The school district employs 914 staff and support personnel, with an operating budget of 110 million dollars.
Qualifications
- NJ School Administrator Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility required
- Earned doctorate preferred
- Minimum three to five years’ experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent preferred
- Three to five years’ classroom teaching experience preferred
- Principal experience preferred
The successful candidate shall demonstrate expertise in:
- Communications and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to transparency and expanding relationships with the community
- Personnel management, professional development, and evaluation
- Developing referenda for facilities upgrades and expansion
- Financial management including grants and generating alternate revenue resources
- Strategic and long range planning
- Special education and meeting the needs of all students
Position available: July 1, 2021
Salary is competitive with experience and State of New Jersey guidelines.
