Morris County SBA Meeting

Description: A Dialogue on the Different Paths Districts take to Prepare our Students The goal of all school districts at the end of a student’s K-12 education is the students are prepared to succeed in college or a career.  Though the goals may be the same, during the last four years of that experience, high schools across the county have chosen different programs to prepare their students.  AP classes, International Baccalaureate, Academies, dual credits with college, and traditional classes are some of the choices a high school student faces. What is the benefit of each of these programs?  What should we do at the K-8 level to prepare our students for these various programs? What goes into the decision making process for selecting a program for a district?    Please join your colleagues for a panel dicsussion about programs currently being offered in Morris County schools. The panelists are:   International Baccalaureate & Advanced Placement  Michael Ben-David J.D. /M.Ed., Superintendent, West Morris Regional High School District Academy Programs and Dual Enrollment with Morris County College Scott Moffitt, Superintendent, Morris County Vocational School Middle College Program & Affiliations with multiple colleges Maria Carrell, Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment, Hanover Park Regional High School District
