The National School Boards Association is encouraging school board members to register for two upcoming events, an Equity Symposium on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, and the Advocacy Institute from Sunday, Feb. 2 through Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020. Both events are at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C.

- The Equity Symposium provides a forum for school board members, public school advocates, and community leaders to examine and discuss the strategies, current trends, research, and best practices around equity in our nation’s public K-12 schools. Join school board members, district administrators, and other education professionals at this one–day symposium, where sessions will focus on why inequity exists in our nation’s schools and how school boards can work to ensure that all students are given the best opportunity to succeed.
