APRIL 2, 2019–Join hundreds of educators and students at the Jostens Renaissance Regional Conference on School Climate, Saturday, April 6, at Sayreville War Memorial High School!

The conference will include three hours of special programming for school board members. Registration for school board members is free.

Keynote speaker Dr. Phillip Campbell, consultant and author on school climate, will conduct a special discussion program with board members. A former teacher, coach, athletic director and principal, Campbell has more than 16 years of experience in education. His goal is to help schools become the best environments for teaching and learning. His message: put relationships first and create a sense of family within the school setting.

Board member attendees will also participate in a working lunch with Dr. Campbell.

A training session, “Working with Your Superintendent to Promote a Healthy School Climate,” will be conducted by Patricia Heindel and Liz Warner, co-directors of the School Culture and Climate Initiative at the College of Saint Elizabeth. They work closely with Maurice Elias, director of the Rutgers Social-Emotional and Character Development Lab and one of the nation’s leading experts in building a healthy school climate.

The April 6 program is offered at no cost to board members. Breakfast and lunch are included.
