A fact sheet, prepared by the U.S. Department of Education (USDOE) responds to questions about allowable uses of funds from existing grant programs that were earmarked for compensation, travel, and conference costs.
The fact sheet addresses the following uses of the funds:
- Employee compensation when an organization is closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
- Reimbursement for prepaid non-refundable travel and registration fees for events cancelled due to the pandemic.
- Purchase travel insurance for future trips.
