The New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA) will present a comprehensive program on all issues related to teacher tenure on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.  Focus On: Tenure Rights will include an in-depth review of New Jersey’s tenure and related statutes, regulations and case law. The program will take place from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. (registration and continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m.) at NJSBA headquarters, 413 W. State Street, Trenton, NJ 08618.

This presentation will also include a comprehensive discussion of Donaldson hearings, employee suspensions, the burden of proof, and potential employee defenses to board charges.

Focus On: Tenure Rights is for attorneys, board members, and administrators looking for a greater understanding of the tenure process. Attendees are encouraged to bring their questions and experiences to share with the group.

Registration The member rate for the program is $199 and the non-member rate is $398. The registration fee includes a continental breakfast and lunch. This program will offer five CLE credits (pending) for New Jersey lawyers and four Board Member Academy Credits.

Registration for school board members must be handled online by the school business administrator who must attach a scanned copy of the purchase order with the registration.

AMPSA Members AMPSA members may register online on the NJSBA website by logging into their account and paying by credit card.
