Peter L. Noble died on April 10 at CareOne at King James in Atlantic Highlands. He was 68 years old. He was a member of the Red Bank Borough Board of Education from 2002 to 2017, and served as the board’s president for three years and vice president for two years.
Born in Red Bank, he attended the Mechanic Street and River Street schools, as well as Red Bank Catholic High School. He had a 35-year career as a police officer, serving the Red Bank Police Department, the Allenhurst Police Department and Monmouth University. He was also a volunteer firefighter in Red Bank and a registered nurse. He was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Church and volunteered as a religious education teacher for several years.
He is survived by his son, Patrick, who is a current member of the Red Bank Regional High School Board of Education; daughter, Kyleigh; a brother, nephew and niece, and the countless people whose lives he touched in a lifetime of public service.
Visitation is on Tuesday, April 16 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St., Red Bank. A mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 17 at 10 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 121 Bridge Ave., Red Bank. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Red Bank Borough Education Foundation.
