Mrs. Jennifer Sutera, 63, of Manalapan passed away at home on Friday morning, July 24. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Jennifer lived in Staten Island prior to moving to Manalapan more than 20 years ago.
She was currently serving as the vice president of the Freehold Regional Board of Education; she had been a member of the board since 2009.
A graduate of Brooklyn College, she taught for more than 30 years. She taught at St. Thomas Acquinas School in Brooklyn, Holy Rosary School in Staten Island, and at the Holy Family School in Lakewood. She also volunteered her time as a CCD teacher at her home Parish of St. Thomas More, in Manalapan.
She was employed as an office administrator for the construction department of Manalapan Township.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Stephen; her son Stephen and his wife Gina; daughter Lauren; daughter Jacqueline and her fiancee Stephen Zigari; her grandchildren Ava and Nicolette Sutera; her mother Connie Ciccone; brothers Laurence and his wife Christine Ciccone; Thomas and his wife Karen Ciccone; Louis and his wife Shawn Reale; mother-in-law Theresa Sutera, sister-in-law Nannette and her husband Dino Mezzouiso; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
