Sustainable Jersey Digital Schools Program Update, Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. Sustainable Jersey for Schools (SJS) recently formed the Sustainable Jersey Digital Schools program, created in partnership with the New Jersey Department of Education and the New Jersey School Boards Association and endorsed by the New Jersey Leadership for Educational Excellence. The first certification cycle for recognition as a digital school within the Sustainable Jersey for Schools certification program begins on Jan. 15, 2021.
The webinar will review the new Sustainable Jersey for Schools actions that encompass the former Future Ready Schools-NJ (FRS-NJ) indicators. Sustainable Practices Session: Healthy Schools, Thursday, Dec. 17 from 1 to 3 p.m. This session will provide an overview of the Food and Nutrition, Student Safety, and Healthy School environment actions in the Sustainable Jersey for Schools program. Special emphasis will be placed on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tools for Schools and Safe Routes to Schools programs.
