We invite your school district to participate in the Annual Special Education Program Awards 2020, which recognize successful programs and services for students with special needs.
The program is part of Special Education Week 2020 in New Jersey, sponsored by the New Jersey School Boards Association and ASAH, which has served the private special education community since 1974. If you have a successful special education program that has been in place for at least one school year (on or before September 2018), please tell us about it!
Since it began in 2002, the special education awards program has drawn wide interest from the state’s special education community. Last year’s program drew 49 entries from public school districts and private schools for the disabled. Four of the entries were honored during a luncheon reception held in conjunction with Special Education Week.
An article from NJSBA’s magazine, School Leader, about last year’s honored programs can be found on the NJSBA website at Special Education Program 2019 Honorees.
Click here for an entry form for the 2020 program. Entries must be received in the NJSBA office by 4:30 p.m., March 30, 2020.
For further information about the Annual Special Education Program Awards 2020, contact Ann Marie Smith of the NJSBA Executive Office at (609) 278-5209 or amsmith@njsba.org.
Selected programs will be honored at a special event held in conjunction with Special Education Week in New Jersey in May 2020.
