The New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA) announced Jan. 12 that Computer Design & Integration LLC (CDI) will make its cloud and managed services available through the NJSBA Technology for Education and Career (TEC) Cooperative Pricing System.
Offered through NJSBA’s contract with Carahsoft, New Jersey K-12 institutions will have access to CDI’s cloud and managed services to proactively monitor, maintain, and manage their day-to-day IT infrastructure needs on site or in the cloud.
“We are pleased to offer CDI’s cloud and managed services to our local boards of education as part of the NJSBA TEC Cooperative Pricing System,” said Dr. Lawrence S. Feinsod, NJSBA executive director. “With the help of such tools, local boards of education can ensure that their IT infrastructure is safe, secure and efficient.”
CDI’s cloud and managed services are provided in a well-designed data center and cloud-computing environment. Technologies includes:
- Managed Services
- Backup-as-a-Service (BAAS)
- Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS)
- Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS)
- Virtual Desktop
- Security-as-a-Service
Supported by the New Jersey Department of Education, the NJSBA Cooperative Pricing System gives districts access to technology without going through the competitive bidding process. The system also enables school districts and member charter schools to secure technology at a reduced cost and to access free and low-cost resources.
Districts belonging to the NJSBA Cooperative Pricing System through membership in the Alliance for Competitive Energy Services (ACES), can begin working with the technology under NJSBA procurement number #E-8801-ACES-CPS. Districts that are not members of ACES (see the full list of ACES members) must pass a resolution to join the NJSBA Cooperative Pricing System.
