Sayreville War Memorial High School will host a Jostens Renaissance Regional Conference focusing on school climate on Saturday, April 6, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The conference will include a 90-minute mid-morning segment, coordinated by NJSBA, addressing how local school board members can work with their chief school administrators to build a healthy school climate that contributes to the emotional well-being and success of all students. Most of the day’s program will focus on strategies that students, faculty and staff can use to renew school climate.

“The importance of a healthy, nurturing school climate to students’ academic growth and physical and emotional well-being can never be underestimated,” said NJSBA Executive Director Dr. Lawrence S. Feinsod. “We encourage school boards to consider participation in this program.”

School Board Notes will provide additional information about the April 6 event, including registration procedures, in the future.
