The New Jersey School Boards Association is hosting the annual Spring School Law Forum on Wednesday, June 12. Practicing school board attorneys will share research and their own experiences in addressing the latest court decisions, administrative rulings, statutes, and codes that affect public education and school district governance.
The program will take place at the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association, 12 Centre Dr., Monroe Township from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with registration and continental breakfast beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Participants will have access to a wealth of resources, as well as updates on topics, including:

- Marijuana in the Schools
- Best Procurement Practices in New Jersey
- Special Education Response to Intervention
- HIB Hearings – Procedural Guidance
- Trauma, Anxiety and School Refusal
- Transgender – An Intersection of State and Federal Law
- Ethical Landmines: Attorney as Investigator
Registration for board members is available online, but must be handled by the school business administrator. Business administrators who want to register officials from their districts should have a scanned purchase order ready to attach to the registration. AMPSA members may also register online through their NJSBA account and pay by credit card.
Cost The member rate for the program is $299 and the non-member rate is $598. The registration fee includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
Professional Development Credit The Spring School Law Forum offers 4 Board Member Academy credits and 7.5 CLE pending credits for New Jersey lawyers, including 1.2 for ethics.
