The New Jersey School Boards Association is hosting the annual Spring School Law Forum as a special virtual event on Wednesday, June 17. Practicing school board attorneys will share research and their own experiences in addressing the latest court decisions, administrative rulings, statutes, and codes that affect public education and school district governance.

Participants will learn about recent developments in school law and updates on topics including:

  • Legal Crisis Management
  • Special Education
  • Employment and Labor Law
  • Cybersecurity
  • School Ethics

The virtual Spring School Law Forum will begin at 9 a.m. Participants will receive an email with the agenda and information on how to access the program prior to the scheduled date. Virtual programs can be accessed via computer, smartphone, or tablet with internet access.

Registration for board members is available online, but must be handled by the school business administrator. Business administrators who want to register officials from their districts should have a scanned purchase order ready to attach to the registration. AMPSA members may also register online through their NJSBA account and pay by credit card.

Cost The member rate for the program is $299 and the non-member rate is $598.

Professional Development Credit The Spring School Law Forum offers 4 Board Member Academy credits and 7.2 CLE pending credits for New Jersey lawyers, including 1.2 for ethics.
