Last week, on March 2-3, a series of deadly tornadoes touched down in Tennessee, killing 25 people, injuring more than 300, and leaving a path of destruction in their wake. Nashville, Cookeville and surrounding areas were especially hard hit.
For those who would like to help, there are numerous community organizations accepting donations. Here is a link to information on how to make donations to nonprofits that are involved in recovery efforts in Tennessee, including the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, Second Harvest Food Bank, the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, and others. Several of the charities permit donors to specify that donations should go specifically to tornado relief.
