Due to current public health concerns, the 2020 STEAM Tank Challenge regional competitions will take place through videoconferencing. The NJSBA’s STEAM Tank Team will schedule time slots for each team to present their ideas to a judging panel via videoconference. Judging will take place over the next few months.
Contest entrants will receive updated information within the next few weeks. In the meantime, mentoring sessions will continue to be held with teams that wish to meet with subject-matter experts.
The health and safety of all STEAM Tank participants, educators and their guests is of the utmost importance to the sponsors, the New Jersey School Boards Association and the U.S. Army. In consideration of the hard work of more than 650 student teams that signed up for this year’s Challenge, the program will move forward.
In the entrepreneurial spirit of STEAM Tank, when faced with obstacles, or when things don’t go as planned, success depends on the ability to adapt to new situations. Therefore, our STEAM Tank community is working to adapt to the situation that is unfolding in our state.
