The “Hidden Bias Gap: Gender, Race, and Zip-Code” seminar scheduled for Friday, March 18 at NJM Insurance in Ewing has been cancelled. However, the same program will be held on Thursday, March 17 at Middlesex County College in Edison. Those registered for March 18 are welcome to attend the event on March 17. Keynote Session The program will explore hidden bias in the classroom.
The day will include an open panel discussion which will give attendees an opportunity to talk about issues in their schools and how to combat those issues. Watch this video for a sneak peak of the program.
Member Registration and Cost Registration of school board members and other district staff, who have been reported to NJSBA through the district census form, may be completed online using the registration links below, but only by the school business administrator who must attach a scanned copy of the purchase order with the registration. The cost for this program is $75 per person, and the program offers three Board Member Academy credits. Member registration for the March 17 program is available here.
Non-member Registration The New Jersey School Boards Association is extending the special rate of $129 per person to PTA members and members of the education community for this program. Non-members may register online using a credit card through the special registration link here.
