Educational technology, which has been at the center of remote learning for New Jersey’s students in the past year, is spotlighted in the current issue of School Leader magazine.
The magazine’s special section and cover story features a look at Sustainable Jersey’s Digital Schools Program, which can help school districts improve how they provide digital instruction to students.
Schools can earn certification from Sustainable Jersey for Schools for taking a variety of actions as they pursue excellence in their digital instruction. The program builds on the legacy of Future Ready Schools-NJ, which ceased operations in 2019.
The winter issue of School Leader also includes an interview with Irene LeFebvre, New Jersey’s 2020-2021 Board Member of the Year, a status report from two educators on surviving the pandemic and assessing district technology needs, and an article on how one school district retooled its renovation plans to include COVID-19 antiviral precautions.
Is Your District Mentioned in School Leader? The magazine is also debuting a new informational box under the masthead on page 6: a listing of every district mentioned in the issue, and the page where the district is first mentioned. This will allow readers to quickly find a reference to a specific district.
School Leader is published four times a year, and is mailed to all board of education members in the state. It is also online here.
