The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE), in collaboration with the Partnership for Collaborative Professional Learning, is working to ensure equitable access to high-quality education and postsecondary success for all students.
NJDOE is using a strategic and collaborative approach that connects standards-based curriculum, instruction, assessment and professional learning in a school culture that promotes an ongoing process of reflection on, and growth in, student learning.
The NJDOE is partnering with New Jersey’s educational stakeholders to collectively promote the Connected Action Roadmap (CAR) as a strategic and collaborative approach to developing a standards-based curriculum. To better understand this work and how districts can voluntarily take advantage of these exciting opportunities, the department is hosting regional information sessions.
“A critical goal of the Connected Action Roadmap is supporting best practices that directly and positively impact teaching and learning,” said Dr. Lawrence S. Feinsod, NJSBA executive director. “I encourage boards of education to learn more about this exciting initiative at next month’s regional information sessions.”
Additional information is available in an article in the Jan. 15 School Board Notes.
Registration The links below can be used to register for any of the half-day sessions. There will be a morning and afternoon session in each region for convenience. NJDOE invites school districts to send a team (e.g., central office administration, school leaders and teacher leaders) to attend one of the regional meetings. There is no cost to attend; however, each team member must register individually:
