On March 20, the NJSBA Board of Directors approved postponement of the annual Delegate Assembly to June 27, 2020. (The original date was May 16, 2020.)

The action, recommended by the executive director, was in response to the current public health emergency, Gov. Murphy’s Executive Order restricting public meetings, and federal guidelines limiting gatherings to no more than 10 individuals.

The cutoff, or deadline, for submission of resolutions for the next NJSBA Delegate Assembly will be 5 p.m., April 24, 2020.

On March 31, NJSBA notified school business administrators, board presidents, county association presidents and delegates about the cutoff date.  The mailing included a description of the proper resolutions format. NJSBA staff members are available to assist with the preparation of resolutions.

NJSBA’s Manual of Positions and Policies on Education may be found on the Delegate Assembly webpage at www.njsba.org/da. The table of contents allows for easy accessibility of current policies, which you will want to read and be familiar with before your board adopts a resolution for submission to the Delegate Assembly.

Resolutions should be e-mailed to charrison@njsba.org or faxed to the attention of Cindy Harrison at 609-695-1577.  Please contact her with any questions.

In addition, please forward by regular mail the original signed resolution in the proper format to:
