For years, county school boards associations have held what they called “Eighth-Grade Dialogues” in which they had students from local middle schools discuss their experiences.

It was always a highlight of the year.

Due to the pandemic, the NJSBA was not able to hold the programs during 2020-2021, but the Association conducted video interviews which will be posted soon. In today’s Education Matters program, five county school board presidents discuss why they found the program so informative – and why all parents and educators should listen to the voices of our eighth graders, particularly this year.
