The New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA), in cooperation with NJEdge, is hosting a training program to address the need for enhanced cybersecurity in schools.

The program will take place at NJSBA headquarters on Thursday, December 12, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Ransomware, malware, and other cybersecurity threats have already struck New Jersey school districts, large and small. Join us for a holistic view of the cybersecurity environment, including:

  • The cybersecurity threat landscape;
  • The elements of ransomware attacks, plus tools and tactics to stop them;
  • Proactively protecting schools; and
  • Strategies to build an effective cybersecurity budget.

This program is designed to enable district leadership teams to conceptualize improvements to IT systems and operational practices.

Registration Register online through Eventbrite. Pre-registration is required and seats are limited. This no-cost program is sponsored by the Educational Leadership Foundation of New Jersey and is open to all public school leaders and district staff interested in learning more about building a cyber-secure environment for their schools.
