Cybersecurity threats are all over the news. Recent incidents affecting New Jersey schools highlight the need for districts to be proactive about cybersecurity planning.
To address the growing cybersecurity threats to student data and district operations, the New Jersey School Boards Association, in cooperation with NJEdge, is hosting Building a Cyber-Secure Environment for NJ Schools at NJSBA headquarters on Thursday, Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m.
Building a Cyber-Secure Environment for NJ Schools will provide a holistic view of the cybersecurity environment, including:
- The cybersecurity threat landscape;
- Proactively protecting schools; and
- Emerging cybersecurity tools.
The program is designed to help enable district leadership teams to conceptualize improvements to IT systems and operational practices.
Registration This no-cost program is sponsored by the Educational Leadership Foundation of New Jersey, and is open to all public school leaders and district staff interested in learning more about building a cyber-secure environment for their schools. Registration is available online through Eventbrite. Pre-registration is required and seats are limited.
