The New Jersey School Boards Association is hosting a training program to address discipline and its role in special education.

The program will take place at NJSBA headquarters on Friday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 9:30 a.m.

When addressing poor behavior choices, our goal should always be to teach students how to respond appropriately to any situation. When a child’s behavior is impacted by a disability, it is imperative that the adults understand how to respond in ways that will make the situation better and not exacerbate it.

This conference will provide the tools and the rationale for educators to help all students make better behavior choices.
