At the request of the New Jersey Department of Education, the New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA) hosted a “Stakeholder Collaborative” meeting on Nov. 5 as part of the state’s Charter School Program Act Review.
The forum, facilitated by NJDOE staff, took place took place at NJSBA headquarters in Trenton.
The NJDOE’s review of the Charter School Program Act of 1995 will “assess New Jersey’s approach to charter schools as it relates to those most impacted by the charter school law,” Commissioner of Education Dr. Lamont O. Repollet explained in a recent announcement. “To advance this effort, the NJDOE will connect with a wide variety of stakeholders…to consider various aspects of the law and to explore relevant stakeholder priorities.”
About 50 educators attended the meeting.
