Commissioner of Education Dr. Lamont O. Repollet will address the state of education in New Jersey on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. during Workshop 2018. The commissioner’s presentation will take place at the Atlantic City Convention Center in the Investor’s Bank Theater on the exhibit floor.

Commissioner Repollet will speak on major NJDOE initiatives, including the launch of what he has called “DOE 2.0,” which is his plan to restructure the department’s efforts, re-envision services, and re-imagine programs for school districts. Following his presentation, Dr. Repollet will sit down for an informal question and answer session with Michael Vrancik, the New Jersey School Board Association’s director of governmental relations.

Workshop 2018, taking place Oct. 22 through Oct. 25 at the Atlantic City Convention Center, is the largest professional development event for school leaders in New Jersey.

Registration/Expanded Group Registration The group registration rate now includes up to 20 team members for only $1,600. Workshop 2018 will feature over 250 training programs and has something for every member of the district team, including school board members; business administrators (who can earn Qualified Purchasing Agent credits); superintendents; principals; charter school trustees and lead persons; school technology professionals; school facilities managers (who can earn Certified Educational Facilities Manager credits); curriculum directors; teachers and more. Team members can stay one day or all four days. The individual member rate is $300 per person.
