The New Jersey School Boards Association, in collaboration with the National Guard, the U.S. Army, and other STEAM-related partners, will conduct a trip to the National Guard Training Center in Sea Girt. The program there will focus on student achievement by demonstrating career pathway options, use of technology (robotics, UAV, water purification, chemical emergencies, etc.), workplace readiness skills, critical thinking, decision-making, and problem solving. The session will conclude with a tour of the New Jersey Army National Guard Militia Museum.
The program will take place on Tuesday Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
This program is designed to help school leaders learn how to engage, motivate, and empower students to unlock their unlimited potential and creativity. The program will show how to teach students self-management skills and safety principles they can use throughout their school careers and personal lives.
