NJSBA Executive Director Dr. Lawrence S. Feinsod on Tuesday honored the Association’s Workshop Exhibits Manager, Lynn Anderson, for 40 years of service.
Lynn, who expertly manages the Exhibit Floor at Workshop, has affectionately been known as the “Queen of Workshop” for more than 15 years.
“The success of Workshop—and all of NJSBA services—are due to the hard work of people like Lynn Anderson,” said Feinsod.
“As Exhibits Manager, Lynn has been instrumental in the Association’s efforts to maintain effective relationships with our corporate partners, which benefit local boards of education throughout the year through the provision of training, information and resources,” Feinsod continued. “I congratulate Lynn on her 40 years of service to NJSBA and thank her for her dedication to the Association’s mission.”
Lynn’s trajectory within the Association has been a long and interesting journey. She started her career with NJSBA in the publications/communications department as a secretary, and was later promoted to an administrative secretary.
She later moved to the in-service education department as an administrative assistant. In this role, Lynn gained experience handling all of the details of Workshop, including the management of keynote presenters, training, logistics, badges, registration and more.
In about 1999, she was promoted to her current position as exhibits manager.
Lynn’s co-workers adore her for her sense of humor, huge capacity for compassion, extreme attention to detail, and the fact that her brain can hold an insane amount of information. She is the ultimate team player, lending her historical knowledge and perspective whenever it is needed the most.
