NJSBA’s Workshop 2026
The New Jersey School Boards Association’s Workshop 2026 is well underway and off to a terrific start. Co-sponsored by the New Jersey Association of School Administrators and the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials, Workshop is New Jersey’s largest professional development conference for school leaders.
This year’s theme, “Charting the Path, Empowering Journeys,” reflects the joint commitment of NJSBA, NJASA, and NJASBO to provide state school officials with the roadmap and resources they need to lead with confidence in an evolving landscape. Attendees are participating in training programs designed to inspire district teams to find innovative ways to support and champion the diverse needs of all students.
Highlights of the event include:
- Keynote Address: Yesterday, a packed room of attendees heard a rousing keynote from Timothy Shriver—educator, best-selling author, chairman of the Special Olympics, CEO of Bigger Picture Media, and chairman of UNITE
- Commissioner’s Address: This morning, Commissioner of Education Dr. Lily Laus spoke to a full house on the current state and future of education in New Jersey.
- Legislative Panel: Still to come is a panel featuring representatives of the New Jersey State Legislature, who will offer insights into the latest developments in state education law.
Meanwhile, the lively exhibit floor is packed with programs and services to support school districts. Thousands of school district representatives are exploring the vendor booths, gathering valuable information and promotional items to bring back to their respective districts.
