NJSBA’s Virtual Workshop, which took place live from Oct. 20 – 22, is available on demand.

To keep attendees safe amid the global pandemic, the New Jersey School Boards Association decided to move the annual Workshop conference from the Atlantic City Convention Center to a virtual environment.

The event, co-sponsored by the NJSBA, the New Jersey Association of School Administrators and the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials, featured more than 100 training sessions, a virtual exhibit floor with nearly 140 booths, three keynote speakers, and special student-centered programs on all three nights.

More than 6,000 participants from 471 school districts participated, increasing their knowledge of school district and board operations, learning best practices and strategies for dealing with the 2020 – 2021 school year’s challenges, and improving their skills.

NJSBA’s Virtual Workshop sessions are available to watch on-demand for a full year. Registrants may also access the virtual exhibit floor and all of the conference resources. Think of it as a complete catalog of more than 100 hours of on-demand training for the entire team.

The group rate includes up to 25 team members for only $900, including school board members, superintendents, school business administrators, teachers, and district staff. The conference received rave reviews. Here are some responses from the follow-up survey to attendees.

“The Virtual Workshop was beyond anything I could have expected. It was extremely organized and well run. It opened doors of opportunity for me, especially—I would normally only be able to participate in one day of Workshop. The ability to be at home with my children and still listen to the presentations was amazing. Thank you for making Workshop possible this year.”

“I LOVED all that Virtual Workshop had to offer. You could see all the work that was put into holding this virtual convention. I’m not tech-savvy, but I caught on. Minus not having in-person interaction, I took so much away from this year’s convention. THANK YOU to everyone that made it possible!!! PS…going to class in comfy clothes, aka PJ’S, was a plus.”

“This was way better than I had imagined! Navigating through the workshop was easy. The website was appealing and inviting. The topics were of interest, and the presenters stayed on point. It was a pleasure!”

“With everything going on with regards to the pandemic, I thought the virtual session was outstanding. You could remain in the office as well as being connected. Thanks.”

To add additional team members to maximize your group registration, please ask your school business administrator first to add the team members to your district’s census.
