On Nov. 19, the New Jersey School Boards Association’s Board of Directors formally approved “Framework for the Future,” NJSBA’s Strategic Plan for 2022-2024.

The plan was developed with input from NJSBA’s members and staff.  In August a survey was sent to all members and staff, and members were invited to participate in two strategic planning forums.

The forums were held virtually Oct. 2 and Oct. 16. During those sessions, small groups identified the Association’s strengths and challenges in the core areas of its mission: student achievement, advocacy, training and professional learning and services.

“The goals and objectives of the NJSBA Strategic Plan represent both continuity and growth for the Association,” said Dr. Lawrence S. Feinsod, NJSBA executive director. “I believe this plan provides the flexibility to adjust to changing circumstances, which we have learned is essential to any organization. I want to thank the officers and the board members who participated in the planning forums and provided insights through our survey. Your contributions to the process were critical.”

The groups developed goal statements and objectives for the NJSBA Strategic Plan in five areas, listed below.

The full text of the plan, including the objectives, is available here.
