In partnership with, ASAH, the New Jersey School Boards Association celebrated Special Education Week in New Jersey by recognizing five creative and valuable programs for special needs students on May 12.
During a Facebook Live event, NJSBA recognized outstanding school programs in special education that ensure student success and demonstrate the hard work and achievements of special education students, their parents and teachers.
Five schools with imaginative programs were honored with the Innovations in Special Education Award 2022. Each one of them is helping some of the state’s 250,000 special needs students attain their full potential. They are:

In addition to being recognized during the May 12 event, each recipient receives in-depth coverage in a future issue of NJSBA’s School Leader magazine, a commemorative plaque to place in their school or school district building, and an Innovations in Special Education Award badge to post on their respective websites.
