Arts Ed NJ Day will be celebrated June 2 at The College of New Jersey.

The festivities will include Arts Ed NJ’s first arts education call to collaboration, which will bring together over 225 educators, school board members, parents, students, higher education and businesspeople, legislators, nonprofit leaders, artists and teaching artists, for solution-driven conversations about the future of arts education in New Jersey.

Participants will explore this critical strategic question:

How do we work together to ensure an equitable arts education sector that celebrates diverse lived experiences, increases demand and resources and builds a more just and creative New Jersey?

The event will include the popular Governor’s Awards in Art Education, which provides an extraordinary opportunity to recognize and celebrate some of New Jersey’s most talented students and dedicated leaders in arts education. The awards program will feature stellar performances, a visual arts exhibition, an exciting “red carpet” pre-show event and inspiration from alumni.

The day promises to be not only a critical opportunity to shape the future of arts education in our state, but it will be an amazing celebration of the joy, creativity and excellence of some of our state’s most talented young artists.  Here is an overview of the full schedule.
