On Friday, June 9, experts in cybersecurity, threat assessments, school security and safety best practices and more will share their perspectives at the New Jersey School Boards Association’s School Security & Safety Conference, which will be held at the Conference Center at Mercer County College.

Ensuring a safe learning environment for both students and staff is a fundamental responsibility of any school district. A secure educational setting fosters trust and confidence among students, teachers and parents, which leads to better academic performance and a more productive learning environment.

The School Security & Safety Conference will provide a forum for school leaders to share their experiences and collaborate on solutions to common safety challenges. Participants will have the opportunity to network with colleagues from across the state, exchange ideas, and learn from one another. Topics will include behavioral threat assessments, cybersecurity, best practices for school safety and security and more.

The conference will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Conference Center at Mercer County College. The member fee is $99 and the non-member free is $198. This program offers four Board Member Academy credits.
