The New Jersey School Boards Association was recognized at a luncheon last month for winning two Gold placements in the annual Trendy Awards, which is organized by Association Trends, a community dedicated to providing association executives and industry partners training, data and
insights.

Each year, the Trendy Awards honors the best marketing and communication pieces throughout the nonprofit community.

NJSBA was honored at the 43rd annual Salute to Association Excellence luncheon at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. It took home the Gold placement in the following categories:

  • Convention Promotion Package – Workshop 2022 Promotional Package.
  • Exhibitor Sales Kit – Workshop 2022 Sponsorship & Exhibiting Opportunities.

The Workshop 2022 promotional package sought to spark interest in attending the NJSBA’s annual convention, with each marketing piece branded under the Workshop theme, which featured a backdrop of Atlantic City, with waves crashing amid a shining sun, welcoming attendees back to the beach town venue.

The Workshop 2022 Sponsorship & Exhibiting Opportunities prospectus drew on some artistic flair to provide an overview of the benefits of exhibiting and sponsoring at the convention. In straightforward language, the prospectus invited companies to throw their support behind the event. The cohesive design mapped out what, when, where and how, so partners could easily identify the value of exhibiting at and sponsoring the event.

Some 6,000 attendees and more than 350 exhibitors ultimately turned out for last year’s Workshop – a tremendous achievement given that it was the first time in three years that NJSBA’s constituents met in person.

This year’s Workshop will be Monday, Oct. 23 to Thursday, Oct. 26 at the Atlantic City Convention Center.
