The New Jersey School Boards Association is hosting its popular program, “NJSBA’s 3Rs: Roles, Responsibilities and Resources” both in-person and virtually throughout the month of December. The program will cover a variety of topics and offer ample opportunities to ask questions and network with board members from other districts.

Though designed to educate newly elected school board members, this program is equally informative and useful for established school board members as well.

The program will cover topics such as:

  • The functions of a board of education.
  • Board member responsibilities.
  • Services available to board members from NJSBA.
  • Strategies and tips to survive and thrive in the first year of service.
  • Where to go for help.
In-Person Opportunities

NJSBA’s 3Rs program will be offered in-person only at the remaining December county meetings throughout the state. The program will start at 5:30 p.m. before the scheduled meeting. All newly elected board of education members will receive a special invitation for this program. However, current board members and administrators are encouraged to also send an invitation to newly elected board members to attend the program along with the county meeting. Registration is required.

Board members are welcome to attend a meeting in any county.
