The Office of Elementary & Secondary Education has updated its resources on its Accountability and School Improvement webpage, and it’s seeking comments on a draft of a document that answers frequently asked questions about the impact of COVID-19 on 2021-2022 accountability systems required under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965.
The document is intended to support state educational agencies, local educational agencies and schools as they implement accountability and school improvement requirements under section 1111 of the ESEA using data from the 2021-2022 school year.
This document is posted for stakeholder review and comment through Jan. 16, 2022. Stakeholders are asked to submit substantive comments about the content of the draft, including feedback on additional topics that should be included, to OESE.Feedback@ed.gov.
While the Office of Elementary & Secondary Education will consider comments in making revisions, it will not provide responses to individual comments.
