On Saturday, March 2, the New Jersey School Boards Association will host its Leadership Conference focusing on personnel issues.
The free program will be 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Conference Center at Mercer County College at 1200 Old Trenton Road in West Windsor Township.
The March 2 event is the first in a series of programs focusing on board leadership. It will dive into the complex landscape of labor and personnel issues confronting boards of education, providing invaluable insights and strategies for effective governance. Topics will include:
- Dealing with the staffing shortage in New Jersey.
- Legal issues in personnel for boards of education.
- The board-superintendent relationship.
- The advantages of dual enrollment.
The program will feature breakout sessions tailored specifically for board presidents and vice presidents, ensuring targeted discussions and personalized guidance for leadership excellence.
