On Wednesday, March 1, 2023, the New Jersey School Boards Association will be hosting a School Finance Conference at the Conference Center at Mercer County Community College.

Join us for a full day of engaging sessions to help arm district team members with the confidence and knowledge to fulfill their leadership role in fiscal responsibility, 365 days a year.

Dr. Mark Stanwood, director, New Jersey Association of School Administrators Residency Program and Sue Young, RSBA, executive director, New Jersey Association of School Business Officials, will be special guests at the conference.

Stanwood and Young will hold a panel discussion on the importance of leadership and developing relationships in providing sound fiscal policy and practice for the district. Learn how your relationship within the administrative office can help achieve your goals for the students, staff and community.

A complete agenda with more session information will be made available in the coming weeks. NJSBA’s School Finance Conference will include session tracks and sessions for your full team. The program offers three Board Member Academy credits. Qualified purchasing agent credits are pending.

The conference will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with both in-person and virtual attendance options. The member rate is $99 for attending in person and $50 for attending virtually. Members who attend in person will also enjoy a networking lunch, included with admission.

School finance impacts the day-to-day operation of schools and New Jersey’s 1.3 million students. Ask your school business administrator to register you today for this important program. Registration is available online but must be handled by the district business administrator. Business administrators who wish to register officials from their districts should have a scanned purchase order ready to attach to the registration.

For questions regarding registration, email the NJSBA Call Center. For questions regarding the program, please email Amy Burke.
