The deadline for early bird group registration for Workshop 2023 is this Friday, June 30, 2023.
The New Jersey School Boards Association is offering a special early-bird group rate of $2,100 for 25 team members. The regular group registration rate of $2,200 goes into effect July 1, 2023.
Teams may include your school board, business administrator, superintendent, facilities managers, curriculum professionals, IT staff, principals, human resource professionals, educators and other district staff.
What Is Workshop?
Held from Oct. 23-26 at the Atlantic City Convention Center, Workshop is the largest training conference for school officials in the Garden State.

Workshop includes four full days of networking opportunities and professional development, leadership training, keynote speakers, student entertainment, demonstrations from industry leaders and partners, an interactive exhibit floor and more.
Training Opportunities
Workshop 2023 will offer more than 200 sessions throughout the convention center. With new options, traditional favorites and expanded training for every member of your district team, there are opportunities for everyone. Mandated training will also be offered at Workshop.
Workshop Favorites
- Action Labs: These 90-minute sessions are designed to teach best practices while engaging the audience. They allow for a more interactive, hands-on experience. Board members can earn one Board Member Academy credit per attended Action Lab. Topics will be announced soon.
- Group Sessions: One-hour long sessions given in a lecture style, featuring a panel of experts or multiple presenters. This format allows for active listening and an opportunity to ask questions at the end. Topics will be announced soon.
Meet Your Workshop 2023 Keynote Speaker The NJSBA is proud to welcome two-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time World Cup champion Carli Lloyd as this year’s keynote speaker.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Lloyd is an alumna of Delran High School and Rutgers University. Her educational and athletic achievements at home helped launch her soccer career on the international stage, where she won numerous awards and broke records across the globe. Learn more about Lloyd.
A superhero on and off the field, she embodies the Workshop 2023 theme, “Today’s Students … Tomorrow’s Superheroes.” She will speak Wednesday, Oct. 25.
Registration Details The early-bird discount lasts until Friday, June 30. The regular group registration rate of $2,200 goes into effect July 1. Individual registration is $550 per person. All registrations must be handled by your school business administrator.
Housing Blocks of rooms have been secured at select Atlantic City hotels for Workshop attendees. Hotel and rate information is available at Workshop 2023. Hotel reservations must be handled by your school business administrator.
