To highlight the talent and skills of New Jersey public school students, Workshop 2024 will showcase several student performances.

The New Jersey School Boards Association is looking for students to sing, dance and perform music to energize the audience, and in some instances kick off special events. This year’s retro theme art, “Quest for Student Success,” will take attendees on a nostalgic journey through the past to celebrate memorable trends and pop culture of the 1980s and early 1990s. Performances incorporating this theme, such as breakdancing, The Robot and music hits from the era are highly encouraged but not required.

Co-hosted by the New Jersey Association of School Administrators and the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials, Workshop will take place at the Atlantic City Convention Center from Monday through Thursday, Oct. 21-24. Selected student groups will perform Oct. 22 or Oct. 23.

Submission Details NJSBA urges schools to apply to perform at the annual Workshop. Performance groups are limited to a maximum of 10 students.

All submissions will receive equal consideration. The deadline for receiving completed Student Performance Submission Forms is April 19, 2024.

Those submitting performances will be notified of the Association’s decision by mid-May. For more information, contact Samantha Matias via email.
