Please take notice that the Alliance for Competitive Services is requesting bids from electric power suppliers duly licensed by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, for electric generation service for participating New Jersey school districts. ACES has issued a request for bids in accordance with the Electric Discount and Energy Competition Act, P.L. 1999, c. 23, Public Schools Contract Law N.J.S.A. 18A:1 et seq. ; the Local Government Electronic Procurement Act P.L. 2018, c.156; and all applicable regulations and standards promulgated thereunder.
Interested suppliers will have the opportunity to supply electric generation service to as many as an estimated 385 New Jersey school districts and 3,100 participating electric accounts located within the service territories of Public Service Electric and Gas, Jersey Central Power and Light, Atlantic City Electric and Rockland Electric.
Optional questions and comments will be accepted by ACES until 5 p.m. on May 9, 2022. Interested suppliers must submit a completed notice of intent to bid by no later than 5 p.m. on May 9, 2022. Questions and comments and completed notice of intent to bid entries will be accepted electronically by the ACES energy agent either via email or by upload through its electronic bid platform.
Responses to supplier questions and any addendum to the request for bids will be distributed to suppliers on the bid distribution list by no later than close of business May 16, 2022. Required qualification documents must be submitted electronically no later than 5 p.m. on May 11, 2022, and will be accepted electronically either via email or through the electronic bid platform. Bid prices will be accepted electronically by the ACES registered energy agent via its electronic bid platform on May 24, 2022, with a bid submission deadline of 11 a.m. on that date.
