The National School Public Relations Association invites school districts throughout New Jersey to celebrate School Communicators Day, which is May 12.

Celebrated on the second Friday in May, the day is meant for school districts to celebrate the incredibly valuable work of school public relations professionals.

On its website, the NSPRA highlights a number of ways that school districts can honor their communicators, including by recording a short appreciation video that can be submitted to the association.

NSPRA will feature the videos on its website, in messaging to school communicators, at its National Seminar, on social media and more. You can find ideas on what to say in the video and get further instructions on this page.

The NSPRA also shares some tools that superintendents and district leaders can use to plan and help celebrate communicators on School Communicators Day. Ideas include:

  • Recognizing school communicators in an all-staff email. (An example is provided.)
  • Recognizing school communicators on social media. (Sample messaging and graphics are provided.)

The association also encourages school public relations professionals to use a School Communicators Day Frame on their social media profiles in May.
