The New Jersey School Boards Association’s Student Film Showcase is an exciting event being featured once again at this year’s Workshop at the Atlantic City Convention Center on Oct. 24 and 25, 2023.

NJSBA, along with the Garden State Film Festival and the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission will screen “the Best of the Fest” student-produced short films from school districts across the state. These films were recognized and featured in the 2023 Garden State Film Festival, which is one of the most prestigious film festivals in the United States.

Student films from school districts in 11 different counties will be featured. You can see a full list and schedule here.

The showcase will be set up in true movie theater style with a big screen, popcorn machine, red carpet and red velvet stanchions and stage where the student films will be showcased. There will also be a Q&A session with students and the TV/film teachers who produced, directed and edited the films. The film screenings will begin at 9:30 a.m. on each day of the Workshop followed by a student/teacher Q&A.
