Dr. Anthony N. Dragona, the interim school business administrator and board secretary at Union City Public Schools, delivered a presentation on school district finances at the Hudson County School Boards Association’s meeting Oct. 4, 2023, at High Tech High School, Hudson County Schools of Technology in Secaucus.
Attendees also heard other important updates, including a field service report from Patti Rees, a field service representative with the New Jersey School Boards Association.
Lauren Cuervo, lead director, strategic development at NJSBA, shared an update on Workshop, which will be Oct. 23-26 in Atlantic City; and Jonathan Pushman, the Association’s director of governmental relations, provided an update on legislative developments and advocacy efforts.
Hector Gonzalez Jr., a board of directors delegate, delivered an update to members as well.
Robert Acerra, county activities coordinator at NJSBA, highlighted NJSBA Connection, a centralized hub where school leaders can collaborate on projects and initiatives.
A variety of other important business was also carried out at the meeting.
